Pi(e) Night festivities began in March, dubbed by the Baysox as “Pie Madness.” Fans were able to purchase $3.14 tickets on March 14 (3/14) to the first eight home games of the 2012 season. A special season ticket package was created whereby the club's mascot, Louie, went to fans’ front doors delivering freshly baked pies with their tickets. Apple pie won a month-long bracket-style tournament voted on by fans.

On Pi(e) Night the Baysox held a pre-game ceremony on the field recognizing the top finishers in the Pi reciting competition. A ticket package was available that included apple pie at the concessions stand. The team held pie-themed in-game promotions, including a hands-free pie eating competition. Finally, the staff held a game of pie-tag. Each member of the staff secretly picked a co-worker to surprise with a whipped cream pie to the face. Staffers surprised one another as the game continued throughout the stadium.

The May Promotion of the Month Deadline is Friday, May 25!

Both clubs and fans are encouraged to submit their nominations (clubs may also nominate other teams' promotions) for promotions and events that occur anytime during the entire month of May by emailing Mark Labban at PromotionalSeminar@MiLB.com. Submit your nomination today for a chance to be honored as having the top promotion for May and be named a finalist for a Golden Bobblehead Award. Please include the following:

• Club name
• Name of the promotion
• Brief description (200 words or less)
• Any pictures or video if available

• NAPBL Members: $525.00 Individual or $475.00 Group*
• Non-Members: $625.00 Individual or $575.00 Group*
• Job Seekers: $375.00

Notes:

• Registration includes: breakfast and lunch (on scheduled days), entry into the Welcome Reception, Cocktail Party & Silent Auction, Seminar presentations, Group Therapy & Power Sessions, outing at Aces Ballpark, job fair and trade show.
• *Group rate applies to four (4) or more attendees from the same organization.
• Member: A Member club is part of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues d/b/a Minor League Baseball or Major League Baseball.
• Non-Member: A Non-Member is any team, league or organization in the sports industry which is not a NAPBL Member, MLB club, exhibitor or job seeker. Non-Member registration is subject to approval by Minor League Baseball in its sole discretion.
• If registering after the September 4 Advanced Registration deadline, prices will increase $100 per registrant (Not applicable to job seekers).
