Because One Idea is Worth the Price of Admission

Oklahoma City, the largest city in the state and the capital of Oklahoma, will host this year′s Minor League Baseball Promotional Seminar from September 30 to October 2. Sports executives from across the country will gather at the Cox Convention Center to share best practices, exchange ideas, socialize and volunteer in the city nicknamed "The Big Friendly." Minor League Baseball has negotiated with the Renaissance Oklahoma City Convention Center Hotel & Spa and the Sheraton Oklahoma City Downtown Hotel to offer you during your stay in Oklahoma City.

Both hotels are located directly across the street from the Cox Convention Center and are in the heart of the Bricktown District, OKC′s hottest entertainment and dining area. The hotels are within walking distance of Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, home of the Oklahoma City RedHawks; the Chesapeake Energy Arena, home of the NBA′s Oklahoma City Thunder; the Bricktown Canal; OKC National Memorial; and more. You will be in a prime location to enjoy all that Oklahoma City has to offer.

Seminar Overview

Seminar
Louisville Bats′ Greg Galiette speaking at the ′13 Promo Seminar.

The three-day seminar gives attendees the opportunity to recap the successes and challenges of the previous season with their colleagues and peers in an informal setting. Past presentation topics have included sales & marketing, promotions, community & media relations, stadium operations, licensing & merchandising and more. Group Therapy sessions allow for a smaller setting where participants can speak freely among the group and build on one another′s questions and comments. Having seen great success in past years, the Power Sessions are returning to this year′s agenda. These presentations will feature speakers and moderators who are considered experienced leaders of the sports industry in their given areas of expertise.

Social events also highlight each year′s seminar agenda. The MiLB Charities Community Service Project, Welcome Luncheon, First Night Reception, Cocktail Party & Silent Auction and the Outing at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, home of the Oklahoma City RedHawks, are among the week′s scheduled activities. During the seminar, attendees are also encouraged to attend the two-day trade show and take part in the job fair. The fourth annual Golden Bobblehead Awards, presented on the final night, will cap off the week′s list of exciting events.
